Live From New York, C.K. comma Louis

Louis C.K. debuted as a first time host last week and he didn't disappoint! Fun. performed and of course they rocked it!

I loved how in the monologue they tried to make him as comfortable as possible. He did stand up with a stoll and water, you know the reg.

Worth watching over and over again is the Lincoln sketch. It was a parody of his show, Louis. I love how they are making the pre taped videos! BUT I STILL MISS DIGITAL SHORTS!!!

Live From New York, A Gift From Mars

I knew it!! I tweeted on Oct. 1st that Bruno Mars was going to be a good SNL host and I was right! Lots of people on twitter said they were suprised at how good he was...BUT I KNEW!

This October 20th episode is a must watch!! Everything from the cold open to the ending was fab!  Tom Hanks even dropped in! You can watch the whole episode on NBC.com but they cut out the best sketch due to licensing :(

Here is the link to the best sketch of the show, Pandora Intern

The other highlights of the show were the cold open (loved when jay (obama) dropped the mic!), the Merryville Brothers and Stefon!!! I was having Stefon withdrawls so I was estatic to see him! Bill cracked the most during this Stefon installment than any other!

Live From New York, X-Tina's Back

The last time Christina Applegate hosted SNL was in 1993! She was in the first "Van Down By the River" sketch with the legendary Chris Farley. Before you read on if you never watched (which is shameful) here it is...

Highlights of the night:

Tech Talk:
"hmmmm let me think, what's made im America?" Best sketch of the night!

Watch Here:

I loved the Passion Pit performances! Great band! They performed Take a Walk and Carried Away.

Live From New York, A Failed 007 Mission

Daniel Craig wanted to prove that he was funny. His SNL stint on October 6th did not help his "funny reputation". He basically overplayed his parts and didn't add anything to all of the sketches.

The best sketch of the night was called "Bond Girls" and featured spot-on impressions of Ellen DeGeneres from Kate McKinnon among others.

One sketch that I did get a laugh outta me was "Loving Couple". Fred was in drag first off and towards the end of the sketch Bill, Vanessa, and Fred started to break a little which I always love!

Live From New York, Magic Mike 2

The adorable Joseph Gordon-Levitt hosted SNL this past Saturday night. The monologue had all the ladies swooning. Channing Tatum needs to get on the phone asap and cast Joseph in Magic Mike 2. Also the hypnotist sketch was hilarious. This reminded me so much of the hypnotist at an event after my graduation. Oh and Taran was down to his tighty whities and I was very ok with that.

Here is the monologue:

Live From New York, The Man of Many Voices

Seth Macfarlane hosted the season premiere of Saturday Night Live on September 15th. Seth's impression of Ryan Lochte made this episode.

Live From New York, A New York Giant

This past Saturday, 2 time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning hosted. He started off good but things just got flatter as the show went on. Hey, he wasn't in his element and I didn't have any high hopes for this episode so I wasn't dissapointed.

Highlights:
Hulu has all the vids

Monologue: Even though he kinda skidded right through it (not pausing for audience applauses), he impressed me lol

Text Message Evidence: The banana picture...omg

So yeah, only 2 sketches that were kinda above average. But, Manning was a good sport, willing to do whatever the writers wrote.

Rihanna sung "Birthday Cake"/"Talk That Talk" and "Where Have You Been" while patting her private parts and singing 10% of a prerecorded song. It was a mix of Lana Del Ray's and Ashlee Simpson's performances...
